Yves Saint Laurent Review

Today I’m reviewing the Saint Laurent fall 2016/17 fashion line designed by Hedi Slimane.  I loved the boldness of the collection and thought it was overall amazing with a couple funny over-the-top pieces.  Here’s some more details about the collection:

There are a couple of things i thought were funny and reminded me of something 🙂

“Knock knock”    “who’s there?”    “Lady Gaga”        “Lady Ga-Really?!”    “PHYCH! its Saint Laurent.”

But there are some things that I thought were really cute.

I absolutely LOVE everything about this outfit.

I love the skirt and the jacket and everything individually, but together it just looks bad.  I would like to see everything with different styling.  The clothes are very cute and I like them very much.  🙂

This one caught my eye because it reminded me of the good old vintage barbie doll clothes.  I think it looks awesome and I would LOVE to wear it.  (i would say that i would like to be currently wearing it but i’m pretty comfy in my pjs)

I think this fabulous feather jacket is my favorite piece from the collection!

This is a very elegant, classy and beautiful dress and I don’t think anybody could ever get tired of this dress.

I had SO much fun making this short review about the Yves Saint Laurent collection and I hoped you loved it as much as I did.  🙂

Chanel Review

I usually LOVE all of Chanel’s things, but the new fall fashion line is definitely not one of my favorites.

The fuchsia and purple outfits did not look appealing on the models, and if it doesn’t look good on them, I don’t think anybody else could pull them off either.  I thought that the fuchsia and purple outfits looked like a mix of Chanel and Mattel (and not the old good mattel, the new gross, plastic, hot pink, orange new mattel.)  Another thing i thought that looked bad was the baggy or turtleneck clothes.  Most of them made the models look fat and or short, and if it looks bad on the models, i can’t imagine what it would look like on the regular person. The hats were very funny to me because i thought that they looked like a flowerpot on someones head or a hat from one of the mario games.    The next thing i saw that i didn’t think people would wear were the shawls.  I thought that they looked very uncomfortable, awkward, and would be difficult to put on.

Having said all that, it is Chanel, and of course there are several absolutely fabulous pieces!

For instance, I LOVED all of the chokers, and the purses that hung from the models waists, and the classic black dresses.  There were some awesome capes, cute classic sweaters, and super wearable off the shoulder tops with feather and or fancy skirts.

Here are some examples of outfits that were YIKES!

Even though this Chanel pre fall collection 2016/2017 wasn’t my favorite, it is after all, Karl Lagerfeld, and he is one of the best designers ever and I will always love Chanel.♥
